Website
Development - The Process
Web
sites typically have their actual beginnings
in a brainstorming session between the site
principals and the designers. This usually
results in a rough outline from which is developed
a detailed site plan.
Concurrent
with the above step is domain name selection
(www.yourcompany.com) and registration if
a domain is not already owned.
At
this point physical work actually begins on
the site. This includes graphics design for
all pages, layout and text input. The work-in-progress
is actually kept on the web so that those
involved can check it at anytime from anywhere.
It's not posted on the clients main site so
that the general public won't find it until
we're ready for prime time. This step can
take anywhere from a few days to several weeks
or more depending on the complexity of the
site.
Once
all the tweaking is done we take it live to
your site for all the planet to visit.
