Bright Creek Stables, LLC -- just an ordinary farm with some extra-ordinary horse lovers inside! Nestled in the northern most county of Alabama our Tuscumbia hideaway is on 90 minutes from Shelbyville, Tennessee - home of the Tennessee Walking Horse.

Rick and I both grew up in urban environments. Being an Alabamian by birth, I longed for home and Rick longed for "wide open spaces". 1972 found us newly wed and making our home in beautiful Alabama. Twenty years later with the children grown, we decided to purchase a farm and a horse. That "one" horse is now eleven and growing. "Bona fide" breeders we have become!! For seven years now, we have bred these calm, gentle natured Walkers. We also appreciate the "glide" ride they provide as we trail ride.

Meet Dillion (Threat's Big Boy) and Bama (Alabama Market). They comprise our riding mounts of choice at Bright Creek. We seldom get to ride as we would like. Both horses have made their way to us through a long line of owners. If you have ever owned either of these guys, please e-mail us with your story -- I'm sure you'll have one.

The barn, the center of our daily work, beginning at 5:00 am every morning. Both Rick and I have outside jobs and Ryan Carlin, the Stableboy, helps out. The work is hard, but the rewards are matchless.
